The government will not assail you.... You have no oath registered in Heaven to destroy the government, while I shall have the most solemn one to preserve, protect and defend it.(Freidel and Sidey 2006) President Abraham Lincoln is look upon as one of America s greatest men ever because of his tremendous contribution to America and the impact he still has on the modern world. President Lincoln’s life is one of the most extraordinary stories of challenge and triumph ever known. Lincoln came from a hard working common family who never valued education although Lincoln did and he made the best of his opportunity to obtain it when it presented itself.
